Family Empowerment Series:
Phase One:
REIMAGINING OUR FUTURE GENERATION

A series of modules to support families in developing a positive and healthy social-emotional home. In this first phase families will begin to develop an awareness of the exponential changes demanded of families in the 21st Century. They will begin to identify strategies on how to respond to these demands with their home values intact. An excellent program to support schools with the implementation of Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS). In each workshop session we’ll learn together about...

  • Emotion Driven Behavior - Why are emotions so strong and what to do with them?
  • Recognizing True Power - Why are there power struggles and how do I manage them?
  • The Developing Human - What is going on in the Teenage Brain?
  • Parenting in the 21st Century - Cell phones, Social Media, Internet, what next?
  • Reimagining Our Home Learning Culture - Creating a home of resilience!

Phase Two: RECREATING A CULTURE OF LEARNING
In this series, families deepen the understanding of the tools introduced in phase one. This deepening will occur through the application of the tool to the lives of the participants. Each module will briefly revisit the tool, adding some ways this tool can be used, and the second half of the session will be held using the restorative practices model. The restorative practices model asks participants to consider how they can stay in the conversation and repair damage when injury has been done. This model asks participants to also consider where the responsibility lies and for each party to own their responsibility. Families will reflect on their role in creating a new culture of learning in their home. This series covers the following...
  • Our Emotional Selves - How can our emotional selves become an asset?
  • Our Multiple Selves - How does ignoring our emotions fragment who we are?
  • Our Storyteller - How can we learn to harness the power of our internal storyteller?
  • Our Noble Voice - How can empowering our voice develop empathy for others?
  • Our Expanding Selves - How do our devices become tools of learning?
  • Recreating Our Home Culture of Learning - How do we create a values driven home?
