Virtual Reality: Using VR as a Tool for Equity and Change
Computer programming is quickly shaping the tools society uses to engage with one another. These tools help shape our discourse, amplify our belief systems, and push out our message. Without diversity, only the dominant discourse can be heard. In this workshop we will explore ways to increase diversity in computer science. We will explore ways to amplify the voices of girls and students of color through the use of virtual reality, where they can tell their own stories.
